What is somatic practice and how do I start as a beginner?

Soma comes from the Greek for the living body. Somatic practice is a body-based approach to movement that tunes into the internal experience. You don't need to be flexible, strong, or good at movement. It's simply about noticing and feeling. Your motions follow the sensations, tracking what arises within you. Try this: stand with your feet hip-width apart, close your eyes or keep a very soft gaze, and move with whatever you're feeling.
